My Story

Hi, I’m Mark Dylan Albano… a storyteller at heart, a digital marketer by profession, and now a law student chasing new dreams.

I graduated Magna Cum Laude and was class valedictorian in college, with earlier recognition as first honorable mention (3rd honor) in high school.

2017

My first job after graduating in 2017 was in television, working on a news show. It was a challenging start, long hours, stressful environment, and a boss who thought shouting was the way to lead. After nine months, I realized I wasn’t happy.

During that time, I also used to avoid going out and always chose the comfort of home. My days started to blur together… just work, sleep, eat, and repeat. Over time, I felt more and more disconnected from everything. I lost touch with friends, and honestly, I lost touch with myself too.

One day, I realised something had to change. So I started small. I tried new things, went outside more, and allowed myself to explore life beyond my usual routine. Little by little, I started to feel more like myself again. Life keeps moving, with or without us, so why spend it trying to meet other people’s expectations? You deserve to do things that make you feel alive. Start where you are… that’s more than enough.

2018 - 2020

That moment of change opened the path to the world of digital marketing. In 2018, I joined a tech company and began my transition into digital roles. By 2020, I was fully immersed in SEO, SEM, website development, and email marketing.

When the pandemic came, I embraced freelancing. I worked with HP Philippines as a graphic designer and web developer, partnered with clean beauty brands in the US and the Philippines that supported cruelty-free products, and collaborated with One More Slice, where I created their website and managed their social media.

2021 - 2025

In 2021, I joined Power Mac Center as SEO and Data Analytics Lead. I pioneered their SEO efforts and helped drive strong organic growth. I also worked on customer behavior and product performance analysis across e-commerce and marketplace platforms. My next step was with SM Retail as SEO Manager, where I handled Toy Kingdom, Pet Express, Crate & Barrel, SM Stationery, and Kultura Filipino. Later, I joined Henkel as a Digital Analyst, managing more than 200 websites worldwide. Today, I serve as Digital Marketing Director at Dark Horse Financial in Australia. I handle everything digital, from websites and content to social media and YouTube. But beyond the work, what makes this company special is the people. I found a kind, supportive boss and a great team. It is the best company I have been with and I am very grateful to be here.

At the same time, I am pursuing my law degree at San Beda University – Mendiola. Life now is a mix of work, studies, travels, food, and more realizations along the way.

This journey has taught me that life is not just about rushing to the finish line… it is about growth, discovery, and finding joy in every chapter.

I love hiking, writing poems, photography, videography, and sleeping. I am an INTJ and my zodiac sign is Cancer. I am a walking paradox to sum it all up. I do word plays but am inclined toward numbers. I like to be alone, but I am okay surrounded by people. I can be the life of the party, but I would rather be at home by myself. Indeed, a walking Paradox.
